Everything around you was made up by people that were no smarter than you and you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use.
Steve Jobs
This quote from Steve Jobs comes to my mind when I think about space exploration. It seems that this field is so big, so far away and so incredibly unreachable for ordinary people just like us. But all those rockets, space probes, and telescopes were built by ordinary people just like you and me. And as Steve said, they did not have to be smarter than you.
Space exploration interests me „since forever.” But what is important, is that I would like to not only read and write about it but also engage in space exploration in some way. But how I should do it when I’m not an engineer? I do not know that in detail yet. I’m optimist though. I can see from the examples of people who I interviewed for my Space People series, that you can do real cool space stuff in Europe.
The problem I see here is that we don’t believe hard enough to make this dream come true. And because of that, we don’t take action. Nevertheless, companies and institutions that explore the universe, send probes and people in space need employees from many different specialties. I can be one of them. And you too.
